I paint landscapes and abstracts using acrylics or oil, usually onto canvas although occasionally onto boards. Lately I have been painting on canvases 40–45 mm deep so that the work has a sculptural element. Most of my recent paintings, whether landscape or abstract, are square – I find the symmetry works well with the overall colour and composition.
